Michelle is a writer, a theatre producer, and director.  She writes in multiple genres, including drama, poetry, and non-fiction, and her work has been published in various magazines, including Canadian Dimension, The Antigonish Review, and Contemporary Verse 2.  As a playwright, her most recent work includes Ghosts in Baghdad (2014), and I am the Bastard Daughter of Engelbert Humperdinck (Director Co-Writer with Kathryn Kirkpatrick, 2013). Ghosts in Baghdad was nominated for Outstanding New Script at the 2014 Jessie Richardson Awards, and won the Special Merit Prize in Theatre BC’s 2013 Playwriting Competition.  She has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and is Co-Artistic Director of Vancouver’s Working Spark Theatre, which she founded in 2007.
